Morton, West and Walker sign on to MARS

From ComingSoon.net:

"Samantha Morton, Dominic West and Polly Walker have joined Disney's John Carter of Mars, director Andrew Stanton's adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs book series.

The trio joins Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins and Willem Dafoe in the film, which centers on a Civil War veteran (Kitsch) who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris (Collins), Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior and Tars Tarkas (Dafoe), a brutal and mirthless green Martian warrior, who possesses the unusual characteristic to feel love and empathy..

Morton plays Sola, the daughter of Dafoe's Tars Tarkas, who must hide her softer side from her warmongering race.

West plays Sab Than, prince of the Zodangans who believes he is entitled to rule Mars.

Walker plays Sarkoja, a merciless, tyrannical Thark."

Okay, let me see if I can see where these unknowns (at least to me come from) - Morton was in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report as Agatha, West was in Zach Snyder's 300 as Theron and in George Lucas' Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace as a palace guard (well, you gotta start somewhere) and Polly Walker was in Patriot Games.
