COWBOYS & ALIENS shoots up a trailer!

From ComingSoon.net:

"Universal Pictures has revealed the trailer for Cowboys & Aliens, the Jon Favreau-directed graphic novel adaptation starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Adam Beach, Paul Dano, Noah Ringer, Keith Carradine, Clancy Brown, Ana de la Reguera and Abigail Spencer. Written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof, the action thriller hits theaters on July 29.

1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear.

But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.

Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents—townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors—all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival."

Harrison Ford in COWBOYS AND ALIENS

From Slashfilm:

"He’s had experience with aliens, and he’s turned up in the Old West before, but never at the same time. It could be time to pull one ridiculous fanboy daydream into reality, as it seems like Harrison Ford might well be joining the cast of Cowboys and Aliens.

Latino Review are reporting that they received a tip-off last week that Ford would be joining 'a huge comic book movie to be directed by a director coming off a soon to be released huge comic book movie'.

This tip was given a little added weight when Favreau tweeted 'Some very cool Cowboys & Aliens casting news coming soon…' so the rumour finally made it online."

That sounds so cool! If only Robert Downey Jr. was still in the movie. At least he would with the current James Bond, Daniel Craig.

UPDATE:

Iron Man 2 helmer Jon Favreau has confirmed a Latino Review scoop that Harrison Ford is joining Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde in the director's graphic novel adaptation Cowboys & Aliens.

Favreau posted the following on his Twitter account.

'Please stop asking if Harrison Ford is in Cowboys & Aliens. Okay? He is. Please don't tell anybody.'"

Indy himself confirms story 5 is set!

From ComingSoon.net;

"Harrison Ford tells the BBC that there's a storyline for the fifth Indiana Jones film. The actor, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have come up with a rough outline for the follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

'Steven and George and I are sort of agreed on a germ of an idea and we're seeing what comes of it.'

He added that, despite coming up with an idea for the movie, people won't see the movie for some time.

'The process works like this,' he said. 'We come to some basic agreement and then George goes away for a long time and works on it. Then Steven and I get it in some form, some embryonic form. Then if we like it we start working with George on it and at some point down the line it's ready and we do it.'

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull earned $786.6 million worldwide."

From ComingSoon.net:

"Yahoo! Movies has debuted the trailer for Extraordinary Measures, starring Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser, Keri Russell and Courtney B. Vance.

The Tom Vaughan-directed drama is inspired by the true story of John Crowley, a man who defied conventional wisdom and great odds, and risked his family's future to pursue a cure for his children's life threatening disease.

Supported by his beautiful wife Aileen (Russell) and their three children, John is on the fast track. With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford). Together they form a bio-tech company focused on developing a life-saving drug. One driven to prove himself and his theories, the other by a chance to save his children, this unlikely alliance eventually develops into mutual respect as they battle the medical and business establishments in a fight against the system – and time."

Mutt Williams and the Hat of Destiny

From IMDB.com:

"Harrison Ford had a very special wrap gift for his movie son after completing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - he tossed Shia LaBeouf his sweaty hat.
Ford, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg - the moviemakers behind the Indiana Jones franchise - have dismissed reports LaBeouf will be taking over as Jones, but the young star has the movie icon's hat! He tells the new issue of Playboy magazine, 'It has his sweat stains from the whole movie in it. We were way out somewhere at an airplane hangar on the last day of shooting, and he took the hat off his head, signed it and handed it to me. When I looked at the hat I saw he had written something with a silver Sharpie (pen). It said, 'It's all yours now, kid - Harrison.' But LaBeouf is quick to point out that he won't be taking over from Ford any time soon: 'It's easy to perceive that as his handing the reins over to me on a franchise or whatever... that's not it. What I read it as is, 'Keep your [stuff] on.' It was his way of saying 'Life is going to get crazy now, so strap on tight, kid.'"

Ah, fatherly love! I would've killed for that hat.

Rick McConnell and Indiana Jones join forces!

Okay, not really, but their actors will!!

From ComingSoon.net:

"Brendan Fraser will play the title role in director Tom Vaughan's Crowley, joining Harrison Ford in the film that begins shooting April in Portland.
The drama is based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children had a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his children, John Crowley found a researcher (Ford) with a potential cure.
Ford also will executive produce the film inspired by a Wall Street Journal article and subsequent book, 'The Cure', by Geeta Anand."

Usually, I like Brendan Fraser better in a comedy or adventure film but he and Harrison Ford are just too good a combination to pass up!
